Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh to review Covid-19 situation today
Punjab News: Day after the coronavirus death toll increased to 5,769 with 15 new deaths, the state Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will review the Covid-19 situation in Punjab with health experts and senior officers on Tuesday.
The review meeting for the COVID-19 situation in Punjab, under the leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh, will take place at 3 pm on Tuesday.

On Monday, Punjab reported 389 new cases taking the total number of coronavirus cases to 1,78,847, the medical bulletin issued by the state health department stated.
As of now, there are 3,167 active cases of coronavirus in Punjab. Of new cases, 54 were reported from Jalandhar, 49 from Mohali, and 38 from Hoshiarpur.

225 coronavirus patients were discharged on Monday after recovering from the novel virus taking the total number of COVID-19 recoveries to 1,69,911.

Dr Mohinder Singh, Deputy Medical Commissioner of Ludhiana, stated that the number of cases here has increased in the last 4-5 days. "I appeal to people to wear masks, sanitise hands and maintain social distance," he said.
Likewise, the Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu on Monday said that if cases keep rising anything is possible.
“Don’t want to lose any other health worker to COVID-19,” he said, adding that if cases rise anything is possible. “We’ve to take precautions from our end,” he added.
