A spokesperson for the Punjab Government said a committee had been formed to look into the demands of the employees, which had submitted its report to the government.
It was found that certain demands being raised by the employees pertained to the decisions taken before 2006 and were not linked to the report of the Sixth Punjab Pay Commission recommendations. As such, these demands should be considered separately, based on the recommendations of the departments concerned.
