Weather Update: The weather in Punjab and Chandigarh changed significantly Saturday night, as rain and strong winds hit multiple locations. According to the Meteorological Department, this shift occurred due to the emergence of a Western Disturbance circulation across Punjab, Pakistan.
The rain has caused a significant drop in temperatures. The maximum temperature has dropped by 0.2 degrees in the last 24 hours, but it is still 2.1 degrees over the normal seasonal average, according to the department.
Meanwhile, according to IMD Chandigarh, thunderstorms and lightning with moderate rain are very likely in Mansa, Sangrur, Barnala, Patiala, S.A.S Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Bathinda, Ludhiana, CHANDIGARH, Rupnagar, SBS Nagar and Hoshiarpur.
