Vicky Middukhera murder: Three convicts get life imprisonment, imposed fine of Rs 2 lakh
PTC News Desk: Three shooters convicted in Vicky Middukhera’s murder have been awarded life imprisonment by Mohali court on Monday.
Over three years after the murder of Youth Akali Dal leader Vikramjeet Singh Middukheda alias Vicky was shot dead in sector 71, Mohali, a local court convicted three sharpshooters of the gruesome broad daylight murder on Friday.
The court of additional district and sessions judge held guilty Anil Kumar, alias Latth; Ajay Kumar, alias Lefty; and Sajjan Singh, alias Bhola, all members of the Kaushal-Bambiha gang.
After hearing all the arguments, the court sentenced gangster Ajay Lefty, Sajjan Bholu and Anil Lath to life imprisonment under sections 302, 34, 482 and Arms Act.
However, due to lack of evidence, the court acquitted gangsters Bhupinder Singh, alias Bhuppi Rana, Amit Dagar and Kaushal Chaudhary, who were accused of conspiring the murder.
Notably, Youth Akali leader Vicky Middhukhera was shot dead in broad daylight after in Mohali's sector 71 after two shooters fired multiple shots at him and sustained multiple injuries. Middukhera ran for his life while soaked in bulled injuries and blood flowing all over his body and also managed to scale the wall for cover, however he could not survive. He succumbed to the bullet injuries after running for almost 500 meters for cover.
According to police probe, Middukhera was murdered on the directions of Armenia-based gangster Gaurav Patial, alias Lucky Patial who is a rival of Lawrence Bishnoi.
