Uncertainty over Diljit Dosanjh’s Ludhiana show amid Punjab’s mourning for Manmohan Singh
PTC Web Desk: Punjab has declared a seven-day state mourning following the demise of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 92. As a mark of respect, all public entertainment events have been restricted during this period, leaving many high-profile events in limbo.
However, uncertainty looms over Diljit Dosanjh’s highly anticipated Dil Illuminati concert, scheduled for December 31 in Ludhiana, at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). The announcement of this concert in Diljit’s hometown had created significant buzz, with thousands of fans purchasing tickets in advance.
With the state mourning in effect, questions are now being raised about whether the show will be cancelled or postponed. Neither the organisers nor the singer's team have issued an official statement regarding the status of the event. Any government statement on this is also awaited.
Fans eagerly await clarity, as the concert was set to be a highlight of the year-end celebrations in Punjab.
