Tragic road accident in Banga, Punjab claims three lives and injures two
Banga, July 03: A devastating road accident near Dera Radha Soami Satsang Bhawan in Bandhian village has resulted in the loss of three lives and left two individuals injured. According to the local police, the incident occurred on Sunday when a speeding Swift car collided with the victims.
Banga DSP Sarwan Singh Bal stated that the deceased and injured individuals had just attended the satsang at the dera bhawan and were exiting the premises when the accident took place. The car, traveling from the Phagwara side, struck them with great force.
Authorities have identified the deceased as Amar Nath from Gosla village, and Bhupinder Singh and Sonu Bala from Banga. The injured victims are Ankita, a 9-year-old daughter of the deceased Sonu Bala, and Avtar Chand from Dosanjh Khurd village. They have been admitted to a hospital in Banga for treatment.
The police promptly apprehended the car's driver, Tarsem Singh, a resident of Dhudha village near Zirakpur. The vehicle involved in the accident has also been impounded.
Following the completion of post-mortem examinations, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their respective families. The incident has left the local community in shock and mourning as they come to terms with this tragic loss of life.
