Tarn Taran jawan Kuldeep Singh martyred in terror attack in Jammu Kashmir
PTC News Desk: A pall of gloom gripped Burj village in Tarn Taran when residents learnt of the martyrdom of Army jawan Kuldeep Singh. The army jawan was martyred in the line of duty at Jammu and Kashmir's Sunjwan military station after suspected terrorists opened fire from a distance outside the camp on Monday.
The attack occurred near the Santry Post area of the camp, which is defended by the 36 Infantry Brigade.
"Three rounds were fired by terrorists and in retaliation Army fired four rounds," officials said.
Martyr Kuldeep Singh is survived by his parents, wife, and two children. His remains are to arrive in the village tomorrow, and the last rites will be performed.
Kuldeep Singh's two brothers both serve in the army. The family is seeking financial support and a government job for Kuldeep's wife as they continue to be inconsolable.
