During the press conference, leaders of Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) announced the next strategy.
SKM leader Jagjit Singh Dalewal and Surjeet Singh Phul said that farmers of Samyukta Kisan Morcha to organise a protest on July 17 and 18th for the release of Navdeep Jalveda.
Closure of Shambhu Border
Regarding the closure of Shambhu border, SKM leader Jagjit Singh Dalewal clarified that the farmers did not block the border; it was the Haryana government that closed it. Although the court ordered the border to be opened, Dalewal confirmed that once borders will open, farmers will march towards Delhi.
Call for Justice for Shubhkaran Singh
SKM remains steadfast in demanding legal recourse for the perpetrators involved in the unfortunate incident concerning Shubhkaran Singh, asserting possession of evidence related to alleged police actions.
Farmers' organisations also raised questions about the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report on Shubhkaran Singh. They claim to have evidence of Haryana Police firing, and dismissed the assertion by the SIT that the Haryana Police do not use shotguns as absurd. They believe there are efforts to malign the farmers' reputation.
