Sikh prisoner Bhai Gurmeet Singh ‘Engineer’ gets parole for 28 days from Burail jail
Chandigarh, February 15: Another Sikh prisoner, Bhai Gurmeet Singh ‘Engineer’ was granted parole on Wednesday for 28 days. Singh has been lodged in Burail jail, Chandigarh.
On Sunday, Bandi Singh Gurdeep Singh Khera was granted parole. This raised hopes for the release of Bandi Singhs (Sikh political prisoners) in the midst of ongoing calls for the release of others imprisoned in similar cases.
