SGPC declares religious examination results 2023

SGPC Results 2023 out: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Harjinder Singh Dhami today declared the results of the religious examination conducted by SGPC’s Dharam Prachar Committee (DPC) in February 2023.

As per the declared result, 1,552 students, who secured 70% or above marks in religious examination will be awarded scholarships of Rs 32.25 lakh, mementos, and certificates.

Declaring the results, SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the SGPC manages the historical Gurdwara Sahibs, while it is also continuously working for promoting and preaching the Sikh faith. 

About SGPC Examination 

The Dharma Prachar Committee is conducting the religious preaching campaign at the village level with pracharak jathas (preacher groups). 

He said 17 missionary colleges and schools are functioning under the DPC to teach Gurbani Kirtan and religion to the youth. He added that a religious examination is conducted every year to connect the children and youth with the Sikh faith, rehat maryada (code of conduct), and its history. He said that the religious examination holds great significance to connect the children and youth with Sikh history, rehat maryada, and Sikh principles.

SGPC President said that during the religious examination conducted by the DPC, thousands of students participate, out of which meritorious students are awarded scholarships. 

He said that 40,774 students had participated in the religious examination held by DPC in February 2023 in four categories, out of which 1,552 students have been shortlisted for awarding scholarships. He said a special amount will also be awarded to students who attained the first three positions in each category.

He appealed that the school management should come forward to make every student a part of this religious examination so that maximum children and youth can be aware of their history and heritage.
