Sardar Parkash Singh Badal 'bhog ceremony':  Sardar Parkash Singh Badal- An exceptional leader, a great political figure, man with a big-heart, a leader of dignified demeanor would fondly be remembered for his immense contribution to strengthening Indian democracy.

The ‘bhog’ ceremony of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal took place on May 4 at the school ground of  at Mata Jaswant Kaur Memorial Public School  in Badal village.

Several political dignitaries at 'bhog' ceremony of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal 

Home Minister Amit Shah along with other party dignitaries reached Badal village to attend the ‘bhog’ ceremony and to pay last tributes to Sardar Parkash Singh Badal. Shah has been accompanied by BJP leader Tarun Chugh, Om Birla and Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat. 

"Irreparable loss to the country": Amit Shah

Home Minister Amit Shah addressed at the ‘bhog’ ceremony of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal. 

“We lost a great leader of the country. Sardar Parkash Singh Badal always showed the true path. He was a man with the big heart and sympathizer of the farmers. The passing away of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal is an irreparable loss to the country.” 

Amit Shah further added that, “In a career spanning seven decades, Badal has held the post of CM of Punjab five times as a minister at the Centre. He laid the foundation of ‘New Punjab’. In Badal village temple, Masjid and Gurdwara has made by Badal Saab.” "In Shiromani Akali Dal, Parkash Singh Badal stood like a rock against Emergency to protect democracy," he added.

Manpreet Singh Badal also addressed on the occasion of ‘bhog’ ceremony of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal

Manpreet Singh Badal said, “God gifted big-heart to Sardar Parkash Singh Badal. Badal saab introduced free electricity in Punjab.”

Manpreet Singh Badal thanked the staff, nurses, doctors and administration of Fortis Hospital, Mohali who gave treatment to Sardar Pakash Singh Badal. 

Badal and Majithia family also arrived at the school ground of Mata Jaswant Kaur Memorial Public School for ‘bhog’ ceremony of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal. 

Gurinder Singh Dhillon, the spiritual head of Radha Soami Satsang Beas also reached Badal village to pay last tributes to SAD patron. 

According to the sources, a ‘pandal’ with a seating capacity of more than one lakh people has been prepared for the funeral prayers of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal.


Sardar Parkash Singh Badal's ashes immersed at Kiratpur Sahib

Earlier, on May 3 the ashes of late Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, SAD patriarch, and five times Punjab CM, were immersed in Sutlej river at Kiratpur Sahib by his family. 

Sukhbir Singh Badal, immersed the ashes of his father before leaving for the ceremony. Badal's family, relatives and close friends offered prayers to Akal Purakh Waheguru ji before the immersion.  

Sardar Parkash Singh Badal was Colossal figure Of Indian Politics

In the death of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, SAD patriarch, an era of politics has also come to an end.  Born on December 8, 1927, he breathed his last at Mohali's Fortis Hospital on April 25. 

Sardar Parkash Singh Badal was a five-time former Chief Minister of Punjab and Akali Dal patriarch. The veteran leader, who served as a village sarpanch, was the youngest Chief Minister to ever hold office in Punjab, at the age of 43.

Sardar Parkash Singh Badal remained a foot soldier throughout his life. He led every morcha he participated in. His memory was so sharp and he would keep everyone in his mind. Party workers and others in remote villages would often left amazed when he would call them from their first name.
