Sangrur jail clash: Two inmates were killed and two others were injured in a violent clash that erupted among inmates at Punjab's Sangrur jail.
The injured inmates were reported to be in critical condition and have been transferred to Patiala for advanced medical care, according to officials.
"A total of four patients were brought to this hospital from jail. Two of them were brought dead, and two others are in serious condition," said Dr. Karandeep Kahel.
"They were referred to Patiala for further treatment," he added.
The deceased has been identified as Harsh and Dharminder, while inmates Gagandeep Singh and Mohammad Sehwag were seriously injured.
The incident has raised concerns about the security and management within the prison, and authorities are expected to provide more details as the investigation progresses.
