SAD initiates membership drive from Badal village, Sukhbir Singh Badal gets fresh membership
PTC News Desk: Shiromani Akali Dal has initiated a fresh membership drive according to the schedule announced on January 10. The membership drive began from Badal village where Former SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal also got a fresh membership of the party after filling form.
Sukhbir said that as per the directions of acting president Balwinder Singh Bhunder, the party has started its membership drive today.
"Nearly 40,000 people are expected to become the members of the SAD from just Lambi Assembly constituency. We have an overall target to make 50 lakh members of the party," said Sukhbir Singh Badal.
On January 10, SAD had formed its own panel to supervise the drive.
While addressing HSGPC elections, Sukhbir Singh Badal said that, "The public yesterday gave a clear message with the results of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (HSGPC) elections. Those influential people who are interfering in matters concerning Sikhs shall be expelled. Daduwal and others who lost the election, were behind the split of SGPC and formation of the HSGPC."
