Punjabi couple suffers head injuries as shed collapses at Delhi's Hyatt Regency hotel
PTC News Desk: A couple received minor injuries after a section of a shed near a swimming pool at a five-star hotel in southwest Delhi collapsed and fell on them, police said today.
"A PCR call was received at around 8:56 pm (on Monday) in PS (police station) RK Puram about caving/falling of roof and injury to husband and wife, who were staying at Hyatt Regency," the police stated.
Amit Jain, 42, and his wife Reva Jain, 32, were reportedly standing next to the hotel's ground floor swimming pool when a section of a shed collapsed and fell on top of them, injuring their heads, according to the police.
They later called PCR and alerted local police about the incident, according to a senior police officer.
"When a police team arrived at the scene, it discovered that the injured had already been taken to Fortis Hospital in Vasant Kunj," the police said in a statement.
"The site was forensically examined, and exhibits were lifted and videographed in accordance with procedure. The couple hasn't filed a complaint yet. They stated that any additional actions required by law would be taken.
According to authorities, the couple is from Ludhiana, Punjab, and owns a business in Chandigarh.
They often visit Delhi and stay at the Hyatt Regency, they said.
The senior police officer stated that the pair was discharged from the hospital after obtaining first aid.
