Punjabi actress and model Himanshi Khurana's father sent to jail for 'assaulting' naib tehsildar
PTC Web Desk: Punjabi actress and model Himanshi Khurana's father, Kuldeep Khurana, has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody by the Phillaur court. He was arrested for allegedly assaulting and verbally abusing a Naib Tehsildar during election duty in Goraya five months ago.
An FIR was filed against Kuldeep Khurana based on a complaint by Naib Tehsildar Jagpal Singh. According to the complaint, Khurana allegedly obstructed Singh while he was leaving for duty, hurled abuses, and assaulted him. The incident was recorded on video by an employee accompanying the official, which was used as evidence by the police.
Despite multiple police raids in Ludhiana, Khurana had evaded arrest for months. Acting on a tip-off, the police apprehended him from his residence. He was presented before Phillaur court, which ordered his judicial custody. Khurana has been sent to Kapurthala Jail.
The Goraya SHO confirmed the arrest, stating that Khurana was charged with disrupting official duties and assaulting a government official. Further investigations are ongoing.
