Punjab Weather Update | IMD predicts monsoon in Punjab from June 28 ; Check details

Punjab Weather Update | Making its presence across the various parts of India, with the prediction of heavy rains in several states, the monsoon is set to arrive in Punjab from June 28, bringing significant changes to the weather conditions in the region, as per the reports by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD has forecasted heavy rainfall in many areas of Punjab starting from the evening of June 24. Rainfall is also expected on June 25, 26, and 27, leading up to the official onset of the monsoon on June 28, that will bring cooler temperatures that will persist for the next few weeks.



North India Weather | Heavy rains in THESE 9 states 

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) also forecasted heavy rains in several parts of nine states across the country.

According to the IMD, the states of Goa, Karnataka, and parts of Maharashtra are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next four days. 

Additionally, the state of Gujarat is likely to receive significant rainfall on June 24th and 25th.

The Vidarbha region in Madhya Pradesh and the state of Chhattisgarh are also expected to witness heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds during this period.

The states of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha are also predicted to receive light to moderate rainfall over the next four days. 

The arrival of the monsoon in Punjab from June 28 marks the beginning of a cooler and wetter season. With heavy rains predicted in the coming days, residents and farmers are urged to stay informed and take appropriate measures to ensure safety and make the most of the favourable weather conditions.
