Punjab: Waris Punjab De head Amritpal Singh, aides booked for 'abducting', thrashing Ajnala man

Ajnala, February 17: Waris Punjab De head Amritpal Singh and his aides have been booked for allegedly abducting a man from Ajnala and mercilessly thrashing him. The victim has been identified as Varinder Singh.

The Ajnala police said the complainant, Varinder Singh, approached them alleging that he was abducted by associates of Waris Punjab De head Amritptal Singh. The victim said he had gone to the Golden Temple in Amritsar to pay obeisance. Later, he went to an event at Bhai Amrik Singh's camp at Ajnala, where Bhai Amritpal Singh's associates abducted him and took him to a secluded place.

The victim alleged that he was thrashed in front of Amritpal Singh.

SP, Ajnala, Sanjeev Kumar said on the basis of the victim's statement, a case had been registered and further investigation had been initiated.
