Punjab Police cop suspended for 'sleeping on duty' at Mohali check post
PTC Web Desk: In a strict disciplinary action, Mohali SSP Deepak Pareek suspended a Punjab Police inspector after he was found sleeping in his car while on duty at a check post.
The incident occurred around 3 am during a surprise inspection conducted by SSP Pareek at check posts bordering Chandigarh, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh. The inspector, stationed at the Police Lines and responsible for the check post, was discovered asleep in his vehicle.
SSP Pareek said such negligence during duty was unacceptable under any circumstances. He issued stern instructions to all police personnel to remain vigilant and perform their duties with utmost responsibility.
