Punjab Police arrest key aide of gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar
PTC Web Desk: In a major breakthrough, Punjab’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and SAS Nagar Police arrested Mehfuj alias Vishal Khan, a close aide of notorious gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, during a joint operation. The police recovered an illegal pistol and five live cartridges from the accused.
Vishal Khan is accused of providing logistical and arms support to the perpetrators involved in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. He was arrested near SAS Nagar, and the police plan to present him in court for remand to further investigate the sources of his weapons and his communications with Goldy Brar.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said Vishal Khan orchestrated a shooting incident at an IELTS centre in Dera Bassi last September and had been absconding since then. Preliminary investigations suggest Khan was planning criminal activities in the tricity area. The accused has a criminal record with over 10 cases registered against him.
Vishal Khan has reportedly been working under the directives of Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar since 2023. He also collaborated with gangster Joginder alias Joga (HR) to procure arms consignments. The police are retrieving his complete criminal history from all local stations to uncover further links.
