Punjab: Heroine worth Rs 30 crore seized in Amritsar, 7 held
PTC News Desk: In a major crackdown against drug trafficking, Amritsar rural police has recovered 4.5 kg heroin worth over Rs 30 crores in two major operations. The police has also arrested 7 people in connection with the drug smuggling.
The police conducted the operation based on the secret information that some people were planning to supply a consignment of drugs. The accused during the interrogation revealed that the entire operation is connected with an international drug syndicate.
The accused also revealed further that they are associated with Gurdeep alias Rano, who is a key operator of this syndicate. Gurdeep had already been taken into custody under PIT NDPS Act. The cops have launched investigation into the matter to nab the other members of the network in order to expose the entire syndicate.
