Punjab Government appoints KAP Sinha as new Chief Secretary, replaced Anurag Verma
PTC Web Desk: The Punjab Government has appointed IAS officer KAP Sinha as the new Chief Secretary, succeeding Anurag Verma. This announcement was made on Wednesday.
KAP Sinha, a 1992-batch officer from the Punjab cadre, was earlier serving as the Special Chief Secretary for the Department of Revenue, Agriculture, and Water Conservation. Given his extensive experience, Sinha was already senior to Verma.
As for Anurag Verma, the outgoing Chief Secretary, he will take on the role of Additional Chief Secretary for several departments, including Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management, Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Horticulture, and Soil and Water Conservation.
