Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav meets Jagjit Singh Dallewal at Khanauri border, MHA officials also present
PTC News Desk: The deadlock between centre and protesting farmers is expected to loosen up as Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav reached Khanuri border to meet Jagjit Singh Dallewal who is on hunger strike since past 20 days.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav met farm leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal and urged him to discontinue his fast. He was accompanied by other officials including DIG Mandeep Singh Sidhu and SSP Nanak Singh. Officials from Union Home Ministry were also present at the site.
After the meeting Dallewal, DGP Yadav said that his life is way more precious than protest and that we are coordination with everybody to create an environment to proceed the talks between centre and farmers.
On the other hand, Union home ministry director Mayank Mishra said that as directed by the honourable Supreme Court we have reached here to listen to the demands of protesting farmers. Meanwhile the inclination of farmers of harayan towards the Punjab farmers is also evident who have been protesting at Shambhu-Khanauri border since 10 months.
BKU leader Gurnam Singh Charuni is also expected to reach Khanauri border to meet Jagjit Singh Dallewal to enqire about his health.
