Punjab BJP SC morcha general secretary Balwinder Gill shot at by unidentified persons in Amritsar's Jandiala Guru
Amritsar, April 17: In a major incident, Punjab BJP SC morcha general secretary, Balwinder Gill, was shot at by two unidentified bike-borne persons at his residence in Jandiala Guru area. The incident took place around 9:30 pm when two armed men came on the bike and rang the doorbell of the leader’s residence.
As soon as the leader opened the door, the masked assailants fired at him.

Gill was rushed to a nearby private hospital. The bullet reportedly pierced his jaw.
As per the statement by doctor, the bullet hit his chin, injuring his face; his lower bone is also fractured but currently he is out of danger.
Meanwhile, senior police officials, including SSP Amritsar rural Satinder Singh, have reached the spot and started a probe into the case.
Besides, the police started a probe and all CCTV cameras which were installed nearby his home will be scanned thoroughly, added the SSP.
