Punjab: Bathinda double murder case involving elderly couple cracked
PTC Web Desk: The Bathinda police have solved the brutal double murder case of an elderly couple at Badiyala village. Addressing the media, Bathinda SSP Amneet Kondal said the heinous crime was committed by the younger brother of victim 66-year-old Giyas Singh.
The investigation revealed that a longstanding land dispute led to the tragic incident. According to SSP Kondal, the accused first murdered his sister-in-law 62-year-old Amarjeet Kaur and then hid himself inside the house. Later, when his elder brother returned home after fetching milk, he was also killed by the accused.
The police have arrested the accused. SSP Kondal said the accused would be presented in the court to secure his remand for further investigation. The authorities are working on gathering additional documents and evidence to solidify the case.
