Navjot Singh Sidhu sheds 33 kg in under 5 months, shares fitness journey
PTC Web Desk: Punjab Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has revealed that he lost 33 kg in less than five months, attributing his transformation to a disciplined diet, breathing exercises (pranayama), weight training, and walking.
Taking to Instagram and X, the former cricketer-turned-politician shared before-and-after pictures of his journey, emphasising the importance of willpower, discipline, and consistency. "It was all about willpower, discipline, process, and a strict diet facilitated by pranayama, weight training, and walking… impossible is nothing, people," Sidhu wrote.
In November, Navjot Singh Sidhu had stirred controversy after claiming that his wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, overcame Stage 4 cancer through specific dietary changes. He suggested that eliminating sugar, wheat, refined flour (maida), and aerated drinks from her diet helped in her recovery.

Sidhu further asserted that cancer feeds on sugar, citing Ayurveda, American doctors, and research as sources behind his understanding.
However, his statements faced backlash from medical professionals, with many questioning the scientific validity of his claims. The Chhattisgarh Civil Society (CCS) even served Navjot Kaur a Rs 850 crore notice over the remarks, arguing that they could mislead cancer patients.
