Malvinder Singh Mali arrest: Punjab Police on Monday arrested Malvinder Singh Mali, former adviser to Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu.
Mali was arrested at his Patiala home. A case under the IT Act has been filed against him.

Mohali Police is yet to issue a statement regarding this incident.
Taking to social media, Punjab Congress head Amarinder Singh Raja Waring condemned the arrest. He posted: "Shocking! Political analyst Malwinder Mali arrested by @PunjabPoliceInd without warrant or FIR copy! AAP's authoritarian streak exposed. Silence on issues, arrest of voices. Is this Punjab's 'new' normal in Bhagwant Mann’s Govt?
Patiala MP Dharamvira Gandhi also took to X informing of his arrest. In a statement issued today, Gandhi criticised the arrest of a social activist and political analyst from Punjab, Mali, on "flimsy" allegations. The Patiala MP advised the state government against using such "undemocratic and coercive steps," instead focussing on the state's deteriorating law and order situation.
