Malvinder Singh Mali arrest | High Court grants interim bail to AAP critic Malvinder Singh Mali
Malvinder Singh Mali arrest: In a big relief to Malvinder Singh Mali, the High Court has granted interim bail to the political analyst. Malvinder Singh Mali, former adviser to Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu was arrested by Punjab police in September under sections 196 and 299 of the BNS for inciting religious sentiments.
Mali had filed a plea in the High Court, challenging the case and his arrest.
Mali, who is a stern critic of the Punjab government led by AAP, claimed that the government filed the case against him and arrested him due to political rivalry. He added that the case has been filed because he has repeatedly spoken out against the erroneous policies of the Punjab government and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
