HC raps Patiala's Rajindra hospital over frequent power outage, seeks status report from Punjab government
PTC News Desk: The matter of frequent cases of power outage at Patiala's Rajindra hospital has now reached Punjab and Haryana high court.
A petition has been filed in the high court over the recent cases of power outage at Rajindra hospital in Patiala amid ongoing operations where patients were left stranded on the operation table due to power failure. The peition also stated that patient's lives were put at risk meanwhile doctors also encountered severe obstructions while performing operations.
Notably, this is not the first time that such case has been reported in Rajindra hospital.
The petitioner has also urged installation of power banks in other hospitals of thestate besides Rajindra hospital.
In view of the petition filed, the court has directed Punjab government to submit a status report in one week over frequent power failure and alternate power backup solution in case of the outage.
