HC adjourns hearing on Manisha Gulati's petition; matter to be heard on March 17
Chandigarh, March 16: The High Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing of the petition filed by Manisha Gulati, contesting her removal as Punjab women panel chief.
The Court will now hear the matter on Friday.
Manisha Gulati's lawyer was ordered by the High Court to submit their arguments in writing. However, counsel for the Punjab government objected, and the court ordered both parties to appear prepared for argument on Friday.
Notably, Manisha Gulati filed a High Court petition challenging her removal as chairperson of the Punjab State Commission for Women. Among other things, it was claimed that the removal was totally illegal and erroneous.
