Gas leak at Jalandhar ice factory sparks panic; emergency efforts underway
Jalandhar gas leak: Chaos unfolded among public after ammonia gas leaked in an ice- factory in Punjab's Jalandhar on Saturday. The authorities have cordoned off the area and police have initiated emergency efforts. According to sources, at least 4 people have been trapped inside the factory.
The incident took place in Domoria Bridge in Jalandhar.
Fire tenders have also reached the spot.
Ambulances have been stationed 200 meters from the factory, as gas continues to pose a health risk.
People within a 100-meter radius of the factory are having difficulty breathing, with others complaining of dizziness and irritation.
