Former Chandigarh SSP Kuldeep Singh Chahal is new Jalandhar Commissioner
Chandigarh, January 22: Former Chandigarh SSP, IPS officer Kuldeep Singh Chahal has been made the Jalandhar Commissioner. The development came as Punjab Government issued orders for transfers and postings of 24 police officials.
Governor Banwarilal Purohit removed Chahal due to alleged disagreements with senior officers.
In other postings, Tarn Taran SSP Gurmeet Singh Chauhan and Muktsar SSP were given additional responsibility for the AGTF. The Ludhiana Joint Commissioner (Law and Order) is Ravcharan Singh Brar, and the Ludhiana Joint Commissioner is Saumya Mishra.
