Farmers to protest outside CM Mann's residence in Sangrur on December 1
PTC News Desk: Agitated over the detention of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, leaders of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha announced their decision to gherao the residence of CM Bhagwant Mann in Sangrur on December 1.
Farmer leaders also announced to burn effigies of the CM and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal across the country. The decision was taken during a meeting held at the Khanauri border on Thursday.
BKU (Sidhupur) general secretary Kaka Singh Kotra said that the decision to protest outside CM Mann's residence has taken after the detention of Jagjit Singh Dallewal.
“Our protest was against the Union government and the Punjab government attempted to sabotage it by illegally detaining farmer leader Dallewal. It appears Punjab CM has joined hands with Union home minister Amit Shah. Punjab CM stands exposed because he is acting like a ‘B team’ of the BJP,” Kotra of Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political), said.
Kotda added that it has been decided to ‘gherao’ the chief minister’s residence on December 1 in Sangrur to register their protest against the police action.
