Farmers' Punjab Bandh call on December 30 garners support from SGPC, Congress
PTC News Desk: In wake of the Punjab Bandh call by farmers, the offices and institutions of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committee will remain closed on December 30. The SGPC has also extended its support for Punjab Bandh call by protesting farmers.
Earlier SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami had also postponed the meeting of the Shiromani Committee's Interim Committee, which was to be held on December 30, to December 31.
Advocate Dhami said that the central and state governments should give up their stubborn attitude and accept the legitimate demands of the farmers on a priority basis.
The All India Kisan Congress has also extended its support to farmers' Punjab Bandh on December 30. The All India Kisan Congress in an official statement said, the committee has extended its support to the protesting farmers and their call for Punjab Bandh to press their demands on the farmers.
