PTC Web Desk: Farmer leader jagjit Singh Dallewal’s health has taken a critical turn as his hunger strike enters its 31st day. Dallewal, who is protesting for 13 demands, including a guaranteed Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops, can no longer speak and is now communicating through gestures.

According to a medical bulletin issued by doctors, Jagjit Singh Dallewal's blood pressure has reached alarming levels. His hands have turned pale, and his physical condition is deteriorating rapidly. Doctors have urged for immediate medical intervention, but Dallewal has refused, continuing his hunger strike.

Farmer leader Abhimanyu Kohar has demanded that government-appointed doctors conduct thorough medical tests, including ketone body analysis, to ensure transparency. He said these reports should be shared publicly to dispel any doubts among the Central and state governments or other authorities.

Meanwhile, in solidarity with Dallewal, farmer unions have announced Punjab Bandh on December 30. A key meeting at Khanauri will take place on Thursday, involving representatives from chambers of commerce, social and religious organisations, and union leaders.

Hunger strikes will be organised in other states from 10 am to 4 p.m. in support of Dallewal’s protest. The upcoming mahapanchayat of Uttar Pradesh’s Khap Panchayats on December 29 in Hisar, Haryana, is expected to amplify support for the movement.
