Farmer dies at Khanauri border after suffering paralytic attack

The deceased farmer has been identified as Jagga Singh. He was a resident of Godara village in Faridkot. Singh had been part of the protest at Punjab-Haryana border for 10 months.

Farmer dies at Khanauri border after suffering paralytic attack

PTC News Desk: A 80 year old farmer has reportedly died at Khanauri border after he suffered a paralytic attack on Sunday. He was immediately rushed to Patiala's Rajindra hospital where he succumbed during treatment. 


The deceased farmer has been identified as Jagga Singh. He was a resident of Godara village in Faridkot. Singh had been part of the protest at Punjab-Haryana border for 10 months. 

According to the reports, farmer Jagga Singh had suffered a stroke few days ago nad he was admitted to the hospital subsequently. Singh was undergoing treatment since a few days, however he died this morning. 

This is reportedly fourth case of farmer death ever since the second stint of protest broke out in February last year. Earlier on January 9, a farmer Resham Singh attempted suicide by consuming a poisonous substance(sulfas) and held Centre responsible for his death. He was agitated over centre's failure to address farmers' gievances.
