'Doubts over his intentions': Farmers take a dig at Diljit-PM Modi meeting
PTC News Desk: Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh's meeting with PM Modi has sparked outrage amongst farmers who are criticising thee meet while raising doubts over his commitment for the cause.
The farmers have expressed dire disappointment over the meeting stating that Diljit's actions do not substantiate with his commitment of extending support for the farmers' movement.
Farmer leaders while expressing their displeasure over the meet said, "Diljit would have visited the Khanauri in solidarity with the protesting farmers and to extend his support for jagjit Singh Dallewal who on fast-unto death since November 26. While he failed to meet protesting farmers and instead held a discussion with PM Modi raises several doubts over his intentions and his early commitments which seems to be fade away."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh on Wednesday and called him "truly multifaceted". This was Diljit Dosanjh's first meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Punjabi singer met PM Modi after concluding his India leg of Dil-luminati tour. The grand finale of the concert was held in Ludhiana on December 31.
Meanwhile, the farmers reiterated that their struggle will continue until their demands are met.
