Chandigarh-Mohali border clash: Police announce monetary reward to those who reveal identity of accused
Chandigarh, February 11: Following a violent clash between activists and the Chandigarh Police at Sector 52-53 at the Chandigarh-Mohali border, the UT Police have swung into full action to identify the accused.
On Saturday, the Chandigarh Police announced a monetary reward for those who reveal the identity of the accused. Police asked the public for extra help by sharing images of the accused. The officials urged the public to share the accused's name and address.
The officials announced that those who help identify these accused will be rewarded with Rs 10,000. The police have released the email address and WhatsApp number in this regard.
The informants' identities will be kept a secret.

Meanwhile, the police have already identified several accused and are trying to identify all anti-social elements or miscreants involved in the incident.
On February 8, a violent clash broke out between jatha members of Quami Insaaf Morcha and the Chandigarh Police, after the former tried to break the barricades to march towards the Punjab CM's residence seeking the release of Bandi Singhs. The incident took place on the dividing road of Sector 52 and 53.
As per the Chandigarh Police, jatha members of Quami Insaaf Morcha were allegedly armed with swords, lathis and other weapons with horses and tractor-trailers, who "launched unprovoked attack on the Chandigarh Police".
