PRTC and PUNBUS union go on strike, leaves commuters stranded amidst extreme heat

PTC News Desk:  Amidst scorching temperatures in Punjab, residents now face exacerbated challenges as Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC), PUNBUS/ Punjab Roadways union 25/11 Punjab announced statewide strike. 

Unions of Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC), PUNBUS/ Punjab Roadways are on strike today against the department overtime issue.


This development is poised to significantly inconvenience passengers.

The strike involves about 100 buses and 300 contractual workers, causing significant inconvenience for passengers across the state as the buses scheduled to depart from Chandigarh to various destinations will not operate today due to the closure of the Chandigarh Depot. 

The strike has caused significant inconvenience for passengers across the state, with many buses remaining off the roads, leaving commuters stranded and seeking alternative transportation amidst extreme heat conditions.
