BSF spots Pakistani drone in Punjab’s Gurdaspur, returns after troops open fire
Gurdaspur, February 9: The Border Security Force (BSF) spotted Pakistani drone at the Adia post of BOP in district Gurdaspur.
BSF troops deployed at BOP Gurdaspur heard buzzing sound of a suspicious flying object at around 9:45 pm on Wednesday night.

The unnamed aerial roamed around for about 20 seconds.
The troops fired around 28 rounds and one ILLU light bomb was also fired at the Pakistani drone after which flying object flew back towards Pakistan.
BSF DIG Prabhakar Joshi at Gurdaspur Sector said, "A Pakistani drone was spotted near the Adia post of BSF last night. BSF troops fired towards the drone. Search operation underway by police and BSF."
According to BSF, this is the fourth instance of a Pakistani drone being spotted on the Indian side in the last three days and of the BSF jawans on duty firing at it and forcing it back to Pakistan.
A search operation is also being carried out.
Meanwhile, in yet another incident BSF troops on Wednesday shot down a drone entering India from Pakistan along International Border in Punjab. The incident took place on intervening night of February 7 and 8 near border post Babapir in Amritsar sector of Punjab.
A BSF spokesperson said the drone fell down in Pakistani territory across International Border.
