Blast outside rapper Badshah’s bar in Chandigarh; CCTV shows man hurling bomb at club
PTC News Desk: Two explosions occurred outside two clubs in Chandigarh, prompting authorities to suspect attempted extortion. According to police, the blast happened in Sector 26 opposite the Seville Bar and Lounge, owned by singer and rapper Badshah, and the De Orra Club.
CCTV footage shows a man tossing what appear to be crude bombs at the clubs and fleeing.
Visuals from the incident location showed shattered club window panes due to the blasts.
No one was injured in the incident.
Officials stated that after receiving the information, the Chandigarh police and the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) went to the scene.
While the authorities are investigating the extortion charges, it is also suspected that there was a confrontation between the two clubs' partners.
Police are looking into more angles, according to officials.
Badshah co-owns two other restaurants, Sago Spicy Symphony and Sidera, along with the Seville, which started last December.
