Bail granted to Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh's brother Harpreet Singh, his aide Lovepreet
PTc Web Desk: Harpreet Singh, brother of Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh, and his associate Lovepreet were on Thursday granted bail in a case registered against them under the NDPS Act at the Phillaur police station. After an hour-long argument, the Sub-Divisional Court in Phillaur approved the bail application in the afternoon.
Harpreet and Lovepreet's lawyer argued that the evidence presented by the police was unfounded and lacked credibility. Consequently, the court approved the bail application. However, the specific conditions of the bail are yet to be decided.
Harpreet and Lovepreet's lawyer confirmed the bail approval.
Notably, Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh’s elder brother Harpreet Singh was among three persons who were arrested with 4 gm of ICE (Methamphetamine) on Jalandhar-Panipat NH near Phillaur a couple of days ago. The police had claimed that both accused were caught taking drugs in car.
