Amritpal Singh not a Khalistani supporter, claims his mother Balwinder Kaur
PTC Web Desk: Balwinder Kaur, mother of jailed Waris Punjab De head Amritpal Singh, who took oath as MP from Khadoor Sahib on Friday, claimed that her son is not a Khalistani supporter. She sought her son's immediate release so that he could work on the issues on which he fought the recent Lok Sabha Elections. Amritpal Singh is currently lodged in Assam's Dibrugarh jail under the NSA.
Stating that Amritpal Singh is not a supporter of Khalistan, she highlighted his dedication to engaging within the boundaries of the law and participating in electoral processes. Addressing concerns about his candidacy aspirations, she underscored a commitment to fostering Punjab's youth without advocating for separatist ideologies.
Amritpal Singh took oath in the chamber of the Lok Sabha Speaker under tight security arrangements. He was flown from Assam to Delhi on a four-day custody parole.
