3 die as pandal collapses due to storm in Ludhiana, several injured
PTC News Desk: At least three people died and at least 15 others sustained injuries after Jagranan pandal collapsed due to heavy story in Ludhiana last night. The incident took place near Shri Govind Godham Temple on Hambran Road in Ludhiana.
The Jagran was being held in the open ground behind the temple when a sudden storm caught everyone off guard at around 2 am. People hurried to find cover within the pandal.
As the winds intensified, the pandal could not handle the force and collapsed, burying many individuals beneath the structure.
Those present swiftly began rescue efforts to rescue those trapped beneath the collapsed pandal.
Three people were killed, and around 15 people were injured, the majority of whom were children sitting in the front row during the Jagran. They were admitted to private hospitals in the city.
