18-year-old Punjab youth Ekam Singh Sahni shot dead in Australia's New South Wales

PTC Web Desk: In a tragic incident, an 18-year-old youth from Patiala, Punjab, was shot dead in New South Wales, Australia, following a dispute in a parking lot. The victim has been identified as Ekam Singh Sahni, a resident of Gulab Nagar Colony in Rajpura city, Patiala. 

According to reports, the incident occurred around 12.45 am  local time on Thursday night. Ekam Singh was reportedly studying inside his car in a parking area when an altercation broke out with a group of young men. The situation escalated quickly, resulting in Ekam being fatally shot. The assailants also set fire to his car after the attack.


The local police reached the scene and took the body into its custody. The investigation have started. As per preliminary findings, the motive appears to be linked to the verbal dispute in the parking lot.

Ekam had moved to Australia a few years ago along with his family, who had settled there permanently.
