Pulwama Encounter in Jammu and Kashmir: In a major incident, two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The encounter between security forces and terrorists took place in the morning.
Meanwhile, the search and cordon operation has been launched by the security forces following the Pulwama Encounter in Jammu and Kashmir, the police said.
With this, a total of 4 terrorists have been killed in the past two days in south Kashmir. The Pulwama encounter took place in the Shopian district of south Kashmir on Monday that continued till Tuesday morning.
One of the terrorists was killed in that encounter from where the police recovered an AK rifle and a pistol.
On Monday, the security forces launched a cordon and search operation at Melhura in Zainapora after receiving information about the presence of militants in the area, the police said.
The search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists opened fire at security forces’ positions. Likewise, the security forces retaliated befittingly and eliminated two terrorists.
However, the identification of the militants and their group affiliation of the terrorist was yet to be ascertained.
