Prominent leaders of Qadian region join SAD The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today received a big shot in its arm with some prominent leaders of the Qadian region, joining the party in the presence of Party President S Sukhbir Singh Badal. Guriqbal Singh Billa Mahil along with his father and ex President Nagar Council, Qadian S. Jarnail Singh, Municipal Councilor Harpreet Singh Mahil, Municipal Councilor Sarbjit Singh Mahil and ex Municipal Councilor Subeg Singh Mahil were welcomed into the party fold under the leadership of S. Gurbachan Singh Babbehali, district president, Gurdaspur, in a small yet impressive ceremony at the SAD headquarters. On this occasion, the leaders of Qadian region said that they strongly believe in the ideology and vision of the SAD, which is committed to the welfare of the people of the state, especially the Sikhs through democratic and peaceful means. They said that they would work hard to strengthen the party base in their region. Greeting the leaders of Qadian region into the party fold, the SAD president S. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the party would be strengthened in the area with joining of these leaders.
