Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas welcome first baby through surrogacy, seek ‘privacy’
Actor Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas welcomed their first child via surrogacy. On Saturday, the couple took to their respective Instagram accounts to share the good news and asked for “privacy to focus on family.” “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much,” read a note posted by Priyanka and Nick on their respective social media handles. The couple, however, did not reveal the gender of the baby. Shortly after announcing the news of becoming parents, the couple was showered with love and good wishes by their fans and social media users. This is so special...big big congratulations. Best news.” Earlier in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Priyanka Chopra was asked about starting a family with Nick. Then, the actor had said, “You know, you want to make God laugh and tell her your plans and I am not the one who makes those plans, but yes absolutely, whenever it’s the right time, it’s something that we definitely want.” Priyanka Chopra has also told Vanity Fair magazine, “They (children) are a big part of our desire for the future. By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens.” She went on to say that the couple is prepared to slow down once they have a child. “I’m okay with it.” “We’re both okay with it,” she stated.
