On 'terrorists' hitlist', Punjab's Shiv Sena leader Amit Arora gets more security, bulletproof jacket
Ludhiana, November 7: In the aftermath of broad daylight killing of Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri in Amritsar, the Punjab Police have now ramped up the security of Hindu leader Amit Arora (Shiv Sena, Punjab).
As per Amit Arora, he had been on the 'hit list' of Khalistani terrorists for a long time. He stated that he had survived a terrorist attack in 2016. In 2020, he again survived another terrorist attack. Amit Arora had alleged that the government was not paying attention to the threats being received by him.
After the broad daylight killing of Sudhir Suri, he had also expressed threat to his life and he was put under house arrest. He was also stopped from going to Amritsar.
However, the Punjab Police are now keeping an eye on his every activity from morning till evening. His gunmen have also been increased. He has been given a bulletproof jacket, the video of which has also gone viral on social media. In the video, gunman can be seen making him wearing a bulletproof jacket.

In January this year, Amit Arora had alleged that a day after he received threat calls from Pakistani numbers, the Punjab Government cut his security by half, instead of increasing the same.
Arora, who is the vice-president of Shiv Sena’s Punjab unit, had stated that he had been left with just two security guards.
However, now after the killing of Sudhir Suri, his security has been ramped up.
