AAP holds daylong fast as Sanjay Singh mocks BJP slogan 'Modi ki Guarantee Hai'
PTC News Desk: In a day of fervent protest against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, prominent leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) congregated at Jantar Mantar, where Sanjay Singh, a key figure within AAP, launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over alleged corruption and dared the Delhi Lieutenant Governor to take action against BJP leaders.
Singh, who is currently out on bail in a money laundering case related to the now-defunct excise policy, accused the BJP of being involved in a liquor scam, asserting that a money trail of Rs 55 crore was traced to BJP's account. He specifically pointed to a donation made by Aurobindo Pharma, whose director and promoter Sarath Chandra Reddy was arrested in the same case. Despite Reddy later turning approver and being granted bail, Singh demanded accountability.
"If you (L-G) have any morality left, write a letter...put BJP leaders behind bars, they committed the liquor scam," Singh declared to the gathering at Jantar Mantar.
Singh further labeled the BJP as the most corrupt party in independent India, deriding their slogan of 'Modi ki guarantee'. He accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of guaranteeing shelter to corrupt leaders within his party, citing examples of those who defected to the BJP and subsequently evaded legal scrutiny.

Refuting BJP's demand for Kejriwal's resignation, Singh asserted that there was no provision stating that an honest Chief Minister must resign if falsely accused and incarcerated. He highlighted the prolonged struggle of AAP leaders to obtain bail over the past year.
Meanwhile, AAP leaders nationwide, including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, participated in similar protests in solidarity with Kejriwal. Protests were reported from various states and even overseas locations such as Boston, Los Angeles, Washington DC, New York, Toronto, London, and Melbourne.
Kejriwal remains in judicial custody until April 15.
