PTC News Desk: AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal on Friday joined the party’s election campaign in Haryana, leading a roadshow in Jagadhri Assembly constituency to support Adarsh Pal Singh, the party's candidate. Singh, a former Congress member, joined AAP after being denied a ticket for the Assembly election.

This marked Kejriwal’s first public appearance since the announcement of the Haryana Assembly election. The elections for the 90-member assembly are scheduled for October 5, with vote counting on October 8.

Kejriwal, who resigned as Delhi Chief Minister following his release from Tihar Jail last week in the excise policy case, began his roadshow in Jagadhri around 3:30 PM. Large crowds gathered as Kejriwal waved to supporters from the sunroof of his vehicle. He was accompanied by AAP’s Haryana unit chief, Sushil Gupta.

Meanwhile, Delhi minister Atishi is set to be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Delhi on Saturday.

AAP is contesting the Haryana elections independently, following the breakdown of seat-sharing negotiations with the Congress. Kejriwal is expected to have a packed campaign schedule, participating in 13 events across 11 districts, including constituencies such as Dabwali, Rania, Bhiwani, Meham, Kalayat, Assandh, and Ballabhgarh. His campaign will cover a broad region in the state, with further details of his schedule to be announced later, according to AAP national general secretary Sandeep Pathak.
